A worldwide directory, with clear coverage

Uni Listing includes 5,000 institutions across 193 countries and territories from the Research Organization Registry (ROR). Names, aliases, institutional locations and website links come from its version 2.12 snapshot, published 2026-08-25 and imported 2026-09-19, under CC0 1.0. The directory is a selected, deduplicated snapshot; it is not an accreditation register or every university in the world.

Every catalogue institution has a study guide combining its available registry facts with sections for academic choices, admissions, costs, housing and planning. Registry facts and general planning guidance are distinguished from university-specific research. Official-domain search links are labelled as searches; they are not claims that a particular source page has been reviewed. Listing order and inclusion are not statements of quality, accreditation or suitability.

Research for the whole decision

The guide framework covers all 5,000 institutions. Additional university-specific academic and campus research currently covers 22 profiles across nine countries: selected courses, rankings, community, housing, activities, student perspectives and historical climate. Extending this evidence coverage is active work; a generated guide is not a substitute for researched facts.

Their 66 featured courses are a researched selection, not each university’s complete catalogue. Each course identifies its award, teaching language, duration, requirements, fee scope and source. Admissions summaries describe the route into a course, not a guarantee of eligibility.

Rankings and joint positions

QS and Times Higher Education appear separately with the edition year and ranking scope. We do not blend them into a made-up combined score. An equals sign indicates a joint position in that provider’s table. Some sources publish a future-year edition during the preceding calendar year, so QS 2027 can appear beside THE 2026.

University-wide rankings do not measure the quality of every course. They use different weights for research, reputation, teaching and internationalisation. Older editions are labelled with their original year where a current result could not be established.

Costs, communities and student voices

Tuition figures identify the academic year, student fee status and scope. Annualised semester fees and mandatory-fee bundles are explained in the course note. Living-cost ranges preserve their source and calculation basis; rent alone is not presented as a complete living budget. Student totals and international shares retain the source’s population definition.

Student perspectives are attributed summaries of published accounts and community resources, not reviews submitted to Uni Listing. University-published stories are labelled because they are selected by the university. We do not invent testimonials or aggregate satisfaction ratings. Fit tags and “things to weigh up” are editorial interpretations of the sourced setting and course structure.

Weather and campus photographs

The detailed-profile climate charts use bundled NASA POWER / MERRA-2 monthly climatology for 2001–2020 near each campus. Directory profiles can request regional climatology on demand from NASA POWER using the institution coordinates recorded by ROR. This is a regional estimate around the source location, which may describe an institution’s headquarters or city rather than your course’s campus. A failed request leaves climate unknown.

Temperature is the mean temperature at two metres, not the average daily high or low. Monthly precipitation is calculated from the source’s mean millimetres per day and the calendar month’s length, using 28.25 days for February. The chart identifies its source period and units. These estimates explain seasonal patterns; they are not current weather forecasts.

Campus photographs are credited to their creators and linked to their Wikimedia Commons file and licence. Images are resized and cropped for display. A campus photograph illustrates its recorded location; it does not imply that every course takes place in the building shown.

Sources and freshness

Official university pages are the starting point for institution and admissions information. Government and regulator pages are the appropriate sources for immigration rules and recognition. Links are provided so you can inspect the responsible source directly.

This preview is not connected to a live university data feed. A source link does not mean every page behind it has been recently reviewed. Where a review date is shown, it describes that recorded check only; it is not a guarantee that future requirements will remain unchanged. Individual course details and source coverage need a further editorial review before public launch.

Use the course page for your exact award, campus, student category, and academic year. When sources disagree, ask the institution or relevant authority to resolve the difference before you pay or apply.

What comparisons can tell you

You can compare as many of the 22 researched profiles as you need; there is no fixed three-university limit. Every guide can be saved; the detailed comparison table currently uses profiles with the richer research fields. Comparison organises existing evidence; it does not score your admission chances or determine which institution is best for you.

We do not publish invented rankings, acceptance probabilities, visa success rates, or employment guarantees. Missing or unverified facts remain unknown rather than being filled with an estimate presented as an official number.

How the adviser finds matches

Local guide mode parses your preferences and retrieves matching records from the bundled catalogue. It is a deterministic search guide, not a language model. It can use course, cost, climate or campus details only where researched evidence exists; an institution’s name or country is not proof that it offers a course or meets your budget.

When the configured free NVIDIA model is available, it generates conversational guidance and selects from retrieved records. Returned university identifiers are validated; recommendation cards and their factual fields come from the local catalogue. The model receives bounded recent conversation history and source context, but its explanations can still be mistaken. Missing fees are not treated as affordable. A provider failure is labelled and returns local guidance. There is no paid-model fallback. Recommendations help you research; they do not establish admissions eligibility or guarantee fit.

The adviser explains optional external processing before a message is sent. Read the privacy notice before sharing preferences, and keep sensitive personal information out of the conversation.

How the budget tool works

The calculator combines tuition, recurring college and insurance fees, living costs, one-time costs, funding and contingency. Opening it from a course loads that course’s published tuition and the midpoint of the university’s living-cost range where available. You can edit every assumption. Partial room-and-meal figures are not loaded as a complete living budget. Variable-duration courses require you to enter your chosen route. Missing fees stay blank; they are never treated as zero.

Use the same currency for every amount. Conversion uses a rate you enter, not a live exchange feed. Annual fees and funding are prorated over the entered course duration, with twelve months of living costs per year. Prices remain constant in the estimate; inflation and future increases are excluded.
